Clear glass vessels
... are awesome.
In December 2025, I had bought a very simple 3-piece cylindrical set of glass vases from IKEA to use at home for practice. I intentionally chose clear glass because
a) it is easy to clean and maintain
(b) I genuinely like the aesthetic of it and being able to see the stems.
Months later, during one of the freelancing studio support days, I was corrected into preparing and only using the clear glass vessels for storage of materials.
Why?
Because we can easily monitor the condition of the water throughout the week.
When I heard that, it was a big "OH...!!!" moment. A very obvious, practical reason that I had not considered, even though I use the same clear glass vessels at home too.
